If you aren’t ready to register tonight, on-site registration will be available starting at 7:30 on race day!

Bring the kids! This year our Family Festival is going to be bigger and better than ever! ***race registration is NOT required for admission to the Festival.

For $5 per child you can purchase a wristband that will include face painting, admission to our bounce house, a lighthouse craft project, corn hole, and fabulous fun presented by the Beach Field House. Food will also be available, and wonderful entertainment by local artist Phil Watson. It will be a great time for the whole family. Click here for details and to register.

High Tide Catering will be selling a menu of breakfast and lunch foods!

All funds raised at Beacon of Hope support I Need A Lighthouse’s community education and awareness programs. Our mission is to significantly reduce the loss and suffering from teen and young adult depression, suicide, and suicidal behavior through educational programs and community partnerships.

I Need A Lighthouse, Inc. is excited to announce our 2012 Spring Teen Conference. This educational conference will be held on Wednesday, May 30th, 2012 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Virginia Beach Resort and Conference Center on Shore Drive in Virginia Beach. We once again welcome nationally renowned speaker Dr. Paul Aravich, who will be discussing "The Universe Between Our Ears". This conference is free for students and accompanying school staff, there is a fee of $10 for professionals and community members. Dr. Aravich's talk will be followed by a panel of community experts. The Beacon of Hope 5k Run/Walk and 1 Mile Memory Walk is held annually at the beautiful Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

All proceeds from the race support the programs of I Need A Lighthouse, Inc.

The mission of I Need A Lighthouse, Inc. is to significantly reduce the loss and suffering from teen and young adult depression, suicide, and suicidal behavior through educational programs and community partnerships. Beacon of Hope 5k Run/Walk

This race begins at 24th Street Park and follows the board walk along the oceanfront for a beautiful run ending once again at 24th Street Park. The course is scenic and enjoyable for novice and experienced racers.

1 Mile Memory Walk

Those who have been personally touched by suicide and/or depression are invited to join us in a 1 Mile Memory Walk Share with others, and support local efforts to promote education and awareness about teen depression and suicide. Participants are invited to bring a copy of a photo (no originals please) to post on the memory wall at the race.

Family Festival

Bring your family and friends to the oceanfront for the race, and stay for live entertainment by local artist David Cavitt, food, and lots of kid-friendly activities and fun.
